The 2026 Golfweek Fall Challenge wrapped up Tuesday at Caledonia and True Blue with Georgia Southern (-26) running away with the men’s team title and UNC Wilmington (+2) fending off a late charge from Campbell to claim the women’s team crown. The Eagles led wire to wire on the men’s side, while the Seahawks had to hold their nerve down the stretch to secure the win.
In the men’s individual race, UT-Martin’s Drew Williams earned medalist honors at 10-under, one of 22 players in the 86-man field to finish the 54-hole event in red numbers. Campbell’s Miah Rivas topped the women’s leaderboard with a three-round total of 210 (-3) and was one of only four competitors in that division to break par for the week. Scoring conditions proved demanding across the board: of the 39 teams entered in the two divisions, just four managed to post 54-hole totals under par.
The event also served as the collegiate debut for Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump. Playing as an individual for the University of Miami, she posted a three-day total of 235 and tied for 102nd in a 120-player individual field.
In all, 39 NCAA Division I programs took on the two Pawleys Island layouts, with 16 teams competing on the men’s side and 23 on the women’s. Seven schools fielded both a men’s and a women’s team: Central Arkansas, Mercer, Old Dominion, Presbyterian, Radford, Troy and USC Upstate. Rounding out the men’s field were Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Missouri State, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, UT-Martin and West Georgia.
Joining those seven dual-entry programs in the women’s division were Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, High Point, Lipscomb, Memphis, Morehead State, Queens University of Charlotte, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro and UNC Wilmington.
