A full field of participants descended upon True Blue Golf Club in glorious weather and playing conditions Monday, taking part in the kickoff event of the 2023 Barstool Classic Presented by Truly.
Ushering in its fifth season of “competitive golf the Barstool way,” the Barstool Classic at True Blue was the first of 25 nationwide events, with teams of two playing at 50 percent handicap in a four-ball, stroke play format. The top four team net scores from each event advance to the Barstool Classic Championship in December 2023, with the winning team earning at $10,000 prize and having their names etched on the coveted Commissioner’s Cup.
Monday’s festivities were spirited, both in competition and overall enjoyment of the Barstool experience. Frankie Borrelli, Trent and Dan Rapaport from Barstool’s Fore Play Golf were on hand to host the day’s festivities, along with Hannah Cook of Barstool Sports’ “Amateur Hour with Hannah Cook”.
