Caledonia, True Blue Among Golf Digest’s “Best in South Carolina 2021-2022”

Here in South Carolina, we’re lucky to be home to some of the best golf courses in the United States. From the upstate to the coast, you’re bound to find some stellar tracks. Golf Digest releases its Best Golf Courses in Every State compilation every other year, and getting on this list is a distinct honor. As such, we’re exceptionally pround to announce that both Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club have been selected as part of Golf Digest’s South Carolina honorees for 2021-2022.

Mike Strantz’s first solo design, Caledonia, came in at No. 22 just behind Haig Point Club and just ahead of The Cliffs of Mountain Park. When you look at what Caledonia has to offer between year-round condition, great staff, and classic golf course design, it’s easy to see why it made this list. Strantz put his best foot forward when sculpting this design within its stunning Lowcountry natural setting. The back porch and grill are just the cherry on top.

True Blue Golf Club came in at No. 30, and offers a completely different test from its sister design at Caledonia. True Blue has wide fairways and massive greens that players can navigate. One of visiting golfers’ favorite holes at True Blue is the finishing hole at No. 18, a memorable par 4 with water that runs down the entire left side. The fairway narrows up the closer you get to the putting surface. With the clubhouse framing the green, players will use the slopes to get the ball close to the hole.

See why these two golf courses made Golf Digest’s “Best in South Carolina 2021-2022” for yourself. Be sure to book your next trip today!
