True-Blue-Hole-4

Video Hole Spotlight: No. 4 at True Blue

The 4th Hole at True Blue Golf Club is one of this Mike Strantz design’s most notable, a par 5 that measures 548 yards from the tips (gold tees) with corresponding distances of 523 (blue), 493 (white), 438 (black) and 417 yards (green). It rates as the fifth-most difficult hole on the course.

Staying out of the water is the name of the game when you step onto the 4th tee box at True Blue. This dogleg left par 5 mimics the 6th at Bay Hill Club & Lodge. A good tee shot up the right side of the fairway will leave the best angle to go for this green. If you want to lay up, you must take on the corner of the water and keep that shot out to the right. The big trouble around the green is the pot bunker on the right side. This green slopes hard toward the water so if you can, leave it below the hole.
